A Father's Nightmare (2018)
About
A first-year college gymnast is slowly broken down by her new roommate, and her father has to uncover who the roommate really is before it is too late, in Vic Sarin's Lifetime thriller written by Shelley Gillen. It is the sequel to A Mother's Nightmare (2012), with Jessica Lowndes returning as Vanessa.
Lisa Carmichael arrives at college on a gymnastics scholarship and shares a room with an older student who calls herself Amanda. Amanda is really Vanessa Redlynn. She turns Lisa against her teammates, chips away at her confidence and, claiming it will help her perform, gives her a mix of prescription drugs that leaves her paranoid, hallucinating and dependent on Vanessa. When a drug test puts Lisa's place at the college at risk, Vanessa pushes her towards taking her own life. Lisa's father, Matt, senses something is badly wrong and starts asking questions, which leads him back to a past he had kept buried.
