Born in Los Angeles, California, Chris Pine comes from a show business family. He is the grandson of actress Anne Gwynne and Max M. Gilford, who was President of the Hollywood Bar Association. His parents are actors Robert Pine and Gwynne Gilford. His sister, Katherine Pine, also acts.
