Babysitter's Black Book (2015)

About

A group of high school babysitters turn their business into an escort service for the fathers who hire them.

Ashley Gordon is a high school whiz kid with her sights set on college. When her parents run into money trouble, the fund she was counting on is suddenly in doubt, and she decides to solve the problem herself.

Ashley and her friends already run a babysitting business. They begin offering the dads on their client list something more than childcare, and the money that follows is far beyond anything babysitting ever paid. The sideline becomes a wildly successful operation.

It cannot stay hidden in a small suburban community where everybody knows everybody. Word gets round, the families involved start to come apart, and the FBI descends on the girls' organisation.

Babysitter's Black Book (2015) is inspired by true events. It was directed by Lee Friedlander, who made Double Daddy (2015) for the same producers later the same year.

Production

Babysitter's Black Book was directed by Lee Friedlander from a script by Richard Kletter and Michele Samit, and produced by Ken Sanders and Robert Ballo. Samit was also an executive producer, alongside Ronnie D. Clemmer and Timothy O. Johnson. Pietro Zuercher was the cinematographer, Ely Mennin edited the film and Russ Howard III wrote the music.

The film pairs naturally with Sugar Daddies (2014), made by the same producers a few months earlier, which covers similar ground with college students. Friedlander's next film for the team was Double Daddy (2015).
